The ‘Yen Lam’ dance performance is the combination of contemporary dance and Vietnamese traditional dance—an exclusive, first-of-a-kind performance to present at International Choreographers’ Platform held by Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd. (ODT) in Singapore.

The show offers guests an opportunity for involvement, exposure, and action in the community and culture through the art of dance. Unicorn Dance and ODT invite guests and art lovers to take on this unique journey that will evoke emotional connections, memories, and shared experiences by stimulating all senses.

Specifically, Do Hai Anh will be performing with Odyssey Dance Theatre in a major work to be premiered at Victoria Theatre on August 16. Unicorn’s young artists Ha Loc and Nhu Y will be performing with ODT Young Company at ODT Studio Theatre on August 17. Hai Anh’s “Yen Lam” piece will be presented at International Choreographers’ Platform at Victoria Theatre on August 18.

Hai Anh said that this is a unique opportunity to brush up her dancing skills as well as promote traditional Vietnamese dance to the region and the world. It is not only a combination of dance performances, but also a contribution to Asian cultural exchange.

Hai Anh started dancing at the age of three and became a professional dancer at the tender age of 12. She graduated from Vietnam Dance College and won many prestigious dancing contests, including silver female senior award at the Korea International Modern Dance Competition 2012 and first prize at "So You Think You Can Dance Vietnam 2015."

As one of the Asia-Pacific’s foremost full-time professional dance organisations, ODT Ltd. is a strong advocate of local original dance works and has represented Singapore as cultural ambassadors in numerous festivals, conferences, art markets, and cultural exchanges.
