Vietnam men’s team wins title at SEA Table Tennis Championships

Vietnam won the men’s team title at the Southeast Asia Table Tennis Championships 2016 in Indonesia on December 21.

Phan Anh Tuan, head of the Vietnamese delegation said Vietnamese team cruised to victory in matches with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. It won 3-0 against both Indonesia and Malaysia while having a close game at 3-2 with Singapore.

Vietnamese male players competing in the tournament includes Nguyen Anh Tu, Dinh Quang Linh, Doan Ba Tuan Anh and Nguyen Duc Tuan.

This is the fourth time Vietnam has won the championship in the men’s team event in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the female team including Nguyen Thi Nga, Mai Hoang My Trang and Nguyen Thi Viet Linh also triumphed at the tournament after defeating Indonesia 3-0 and Thailand 3-0. The match with Singapore on December 22 will decide their championship title.
