The exhibits were selected from nearly 10,200 entries sent to a contest under the same name, which was launched in May this year by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vi Kien Thanh, Head of the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department, said that through the vivid language of photography, entrants reflected the breath of today’s life as well as national construction and defence.
At the event, the organising board presented two gold, four silver, six bronze, and ten consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries.
The biennial exhibition is held to review photographic activities in Vietnam over the preceding two years and introduce the public to outstanding photos and significant achievements of Vietnamese photographers in recent years.
The exhibition will run until November 8 at Sun World Ha Long Complex, Ha Long city.
