Second “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence” slated for 2020

Since the first event held in 2005 in celebration of 10 years of Binh Thuan tourism development, the second time is expected to be held at large scale and lure great attention of locals and visitors.

Under the theme “Binh Thuan – green convergence”, is projected to run from April 25 to May 2, 2020 which coincides with the 45^th anniversary of Binh Thuan construction, integration and development.

The official ceremony is planned to cover a number of contents, including: Scientific workshop for sustainable development of “Mui Ne - Binh Thuan national tourism site”, Decision-announcing ceremony on the approval of Mui Ne national tourist site; street parades of Kate festival, Nghinh Ong festival, Mid-autumn festival, Cau Ngu festival, street Caravan; sporting events: traditional boat racing, national volleyball tournaments; marathon running race, hot-air balloon performance, etc.; Culinary – Trading fairs and closing ceremony.

In comparison to the first 2005 Binh Thuan – Green Convergence, this second event will entice many more investment from state budget and social mobilization with VND 16.5 billion, on a variety of activities. The opening ceremony is expected to be live broadcast on VTV channel, and low-range firework displays shall be let off on the closing ceremony.

Vice chairman of the provincial People’s committee Nguyen Duc Hoa asked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to collect data, ideas, and opinions on the draft planning of the second “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence 2020”. It is expected to establish a steering committee, organizing board and 3 sub-committees for this event preparation.
