Sea turtles released to the natural environment

BTO- On September 10th morning, the authorities of Phu Quy island district released a sea turtle to the natural environment. Earlier, a group of the Phu Quy seafood protection management station checked and detected a turtle lying on its back on the beach of Lach The (Dong Hai hamlet, Long Hai commune). The turtle in distress has a dimension of 40x45 cm and weight of 8.5 kilogram.

The on-duty group has cooperated with the authorities of Long Hai commune and the residents to release the turtle to the natural environment.

The activity is a meaningful and practical action that can raise the whole community’s awareness of taking care and protecting such rare animal.
