Many and many people with their smiles waited for the competition early in the morning, which became bustling. This year's competition (February 19th) attracted 335 runners including 110 females and 225 males from 26 units of wards, communes, schools of Phan Thiet... All of the runners must run about 800 meters on the asphalted road, 1,200 – 3,200 meters on the sand hill; the distance of 2,000m for women, the distance of 4,000m for men.
With their good techniques and health, the first prizes were given to Huynh Thi My Ngoc (female runner) and Tran Van Cong (male runner). The competition is one of the traditional physical activities of Binh Thuan people, as a spring gift to visitors. At the same time, the young people show good health, desire to conquer nature.
