Provincial Leaders extended greetings to Cham Bani community on Ramuwan festival

BTO – Leaders of Binh Thuan province on May 14th morning visited the local community of Cham Bani people on the occasion of their traditional Ramuwan festival. The visits led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial party committee Duong Van An offered presents and wishes to the Cham Bani community in Phan Thanh commune, Bac Binh District.

On the same day, Vice chairman of the provincial People’s committee Le Tuan Phong also visited the Cham Bani community in Bac Binh, Tuy Phong districts.

During the visits to Bac Binh and Tuy Phong districts, deputy secretary An and Vice Chairman Phong wished the Muslim community a cheerful and peaceful festival. At the same time, the leaders also acknowledged the ethnic groups on the local socioeconomic development, hoping that dignitaries and the entire community would continue promoting their solidarity, traditional values, and endeavor for escaping poverty and getting a well-off life, participate in life and cultural movements in residential areas; contribute to building the province stronger and stronger.

On behalf of the group, Cham Bani dignitaries expressed their gratitude for the support of local authorities for Cham Muslims’ celebration of Ramuwan festival.

As known, Ramuwan festival is a traditional celebration of the Cham Bani community as similar as the Tet holiday of the Kinh community. This is a chance for the Cham Bani people to enjoy a get-together and pay tribute to their ancestors and pray for happiness, bumper crops and a peaceful life.
