Province’s leaders visit, give gifts and extend congratulations to ethnic minority people on “Tet Dau Lua”

BTO- Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Tuan Phong on January 8 led a delegation to pay a visit and extend greetings to leaders and ethnic minority communities in Phan Lam and Phan Son communes (Bac Binh district) on the occasion of “Tet Dua Lua”, a traditional festival of K’Ho and Raglai ethnic groups in Binh Thuan.

At meetings with representative leaders of the two communes, Mr. Phong learned about outstanding achievements in socioeconomic development over the past year, as well as recorded a number of petitions from local authorities. He highly appreciated the remarkable success of the localities with impressive growths in many fields. Vice chairman Phong also said that he felt sympathy for local farmers who have suffered from the reduction of productivity due to prolonged drought and pests.

Mr. Phong, on behalf of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented Tet gifts to authorities and dignitaries of Phan Lam and Phan Son communes. In addition, the delegation visited and gave presents to families of Mr. Mang Da- hero of people’s armed forces, Mr. K’Thang, K’Rang (Phan Son commune), family of Vietnamese heroic mother Dao Thi Ly in Phan Lam commune.

In the atmosphere of “Tet Dau Lua” and the lunar new year festival, Mr. Phong wished authorities and people  of the localities to enjoy a peaceful and cozy “Tet Dau Lua” as well as a happy new year 2020.

On the same day, another delegation led by Mrs Vo Thi Mui-deputy head of the provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization paid a visit to give Tet gifts and congratulations to people of ethnic minorities in Phan Tien and Phan Dien communes (Bac Binh district)
