One of the activities target at calling the public, enterprises in Binh Thuan to show their love for the homeland by building green and friendly tourism image in eyes of domestic and foreign visitors. A talk to discuss solutions to addressing plastic waste and protecting the environment will take place on July 9th at Phan Thiet city. The event will get the attendance of leaders of the province, tourism sector and other functional authorities.
After the talk, the campaign participants will be granted with vouchers to register for responding the program “For the Binh Thuan’s sustainable tourism environment, say no to disposable plastic products”. On the occasion, the self-destructive bags will be introduced to the public and businesses.
Also to mark the 59 years of Vietnam Tourism Day and towards a green and sustainable tourism environment, Binh Thuan tourism sector holds a variety of propaganda activities from July 5-15th, aiming to change the community’s habit of using single-use plastic bags.
Under the overall strategy and planning for the Vietnam’s tourism development by 2020, a vision toward 2030, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc determined Binh Thuan as a major locality for tourism development across the country.
In which, Mui Ne is set to become a national tourism site, with an aspiration to be a tourist attraction of the South central coastal region, and one of the top destinations in Asia-Pacific by 2030. In addition, Binh Thuan’s Phu Quy Island is boasted to be “The pearl in the middle of the sea”, and located about 56 nautical miles off the coast of the province.
