Art performance and fireworks celebrate National Reunification Day

A special arts programme entitled “The Glorious History - The Bright Future” was held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30, to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30), and the 132nd anniversary of International May Day (May 1).

The event was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan.

The programme was divided into three parts and attracted the participation of numerous famous artists, singers and dancers.

The event featured various timeless songs, dances and documentary films praising the Party, nation, and revolutionary cause, as well as honouring Vietnamese mothers and revolutionary contributors.

Audiences also had a chance to enjoy colourful firework shows in district 2 and Dam Sen Park following the arts programme.
