The port is located in the center of Phan Thiet city, so its construction planning must be linked with the general development planning to turn Phan Thiet city into a modernized and civilized urban area, a major tourism hub of Binh Thuan province.

On the existing unused land area, construction will be implemented to create a complete infrastructure network, which includes cold storage system, fishing equipment stores, as well as other supporting construction work of a key fishing port.
