BTO – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) lately presented 100 domestic water tanks for storage of clean water to 100 poor and near poor households in Ham Tan district.

Each stainless steel water tank has a capacity of 1,000 liters. The equipment is allocated to beneficiary households in the 7 communes of Song Phan, Tan Phuc, Tan Duc, Tan Xuan, Son My, Tan Thang and Thang Hai.  Ham Tan is among localities which often suffer from prolonged drought, leading to water shortage for rural residents. Clean water tanks are meaningful gifts to help ease difficulties for local people in water storage for daily activities, contributing to enhancing their capacity to surmount double crisis of drought and Covid-19 impacts. At the same time, UNDP also gave poor households face masks, disinfectant soaps in prevention of Covid-19 pandemic.
