Phan Thiet launched campaign to mobilize people not to throw waste into streets and public areas

BTO-18 wards/communes in Phan Thiet city on October 1 simultaneously launched a campaign calling all people not to discharge all kinds of waste into streets and other public areas.

The campaign was organized with many activities, in which, officials and civil servants joined hands to clean up roads, remove advertising leaflets illegally sticked on electricity poles, and mobilized the city’s residents to take action for environmental protection.  Functional units also signed commitments on deploying the campaign in their offices.

At a conference held on September 30 to announce the plan of this campaign, chairman of Phan thiet city people’s committee Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan emphasized that, the environmental protection has been considered as one of regular and continuous missions of local authority with the purpose of promoting collective strength and attracting the participation of officials, civil servants and employees in protecting living environment and keeping their residential areas in particular and  Phan Thiet city in general clean and beautiful.

Under the Directive No.31-CT/TU of the provincial Party Committee, the people’s committee of Phan thiet city on September 4 issued plans to launch the campaign “Mobilize Phan Thiet people not to discharge into streets and public areas”. Chairman Phan Nguyen Hoang tan asked functional units and localities of the city to actively respond to the plan and promote the campaign among residential areas.
