200 gifts given to poor fishermen households in Binh Thuan

BTO- The provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization in collaboration with Vietnam Coast Guard High Command on May 7 offered 200 gift portions to families of fishermen with difficult circumstances due to Covid-19 pandemic in Tuy Phong district.

This charitable activity, which is part of the mass mobilization program No.1 under the theme “Vietnam Coast Guard accompanying fishermen”, handed over gifts as a practical assistance to help those suffering from difficulties amid the impact of Covid-19 epidemic. Each gift is worth VND 500,000, including rice, face masks, and cash. 

According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Huy-deputy head of the politburo directly under the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command, to implement Directive No.19 of the Prime Minister on measures to cope with Covid-19 pandemic while ensuring socioeconomic development, including supporting people who are affected by the pandemic, the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command has deployed visits to give gifts to fishermen in the four provinces of Binh Thuan, Hai Phong, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai. This program has a total cost of VND 400 million.
