More than 200 naval soldiers clean up trash along beaches in Phan Thiet

BTO – A meaningful activity to clean up garbage along the beaches along Tien Thanh ward, Phan Thiet city took place on the morning of June 30th, with the presence of about 200 naval soldiers of the 681 Coastal Defense missiles Brigade.

The event, entitled “Young soldiers from the 2nd Regional Naval Forces join hands to clean up the beaches and fight against plastic waste” was launched in Tien An hamlet, Tien Thanh commune, where is often suffered by throngs of plastic wastes from the offshore.

After the launching ceremony, participants collected all kinds of waste and plastic products dumped along the coast to Binh Tu dumping ground. As a result, the 2km-coast of the south of Phan Thiet became clean and fresh thanks to the efforts of the naval soldiers and locals during the two-hour hard work.

The meaningful activity aims to raise public awareness of protecting the natural environment and the struggle against plastic waste among the community.
