Binh Thuan is among 10 provinces/city in the central coastal region enjoying the government’s support in the battle with coastal erosion and aggradation in estuaries.
On November 25, a business delegation of the Central steering Committee for Natural disasters prevention and control led by Mr. Hoang Van Thang-deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development made a fact-finding trip to localities affected by sea erosion in Binh Thuan. Over the past time, the erosion situation in the coastal areas of Binh Thuan has become worse, resulting in the collapse of residents’ houses in La Gi town, Phan Thiet city and Tuy Phong district. A large number of coastal dwellers must relocate in order to protect their lives and properties.
