Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company brings light to poor patients

BTO- A charity program, named “Bringing Light to Poor Patients 2018” was observed within 2 days from September 15-16 in Binh Thuan province. The event was held by the “For a better Life” Fund of Vietnam Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Association for supporting Poor Patient, physicians of Nguyen Trai hospital and Binh Thuan Association for sponsoring Orphans and People with disabilities.

At the event, more than 300 underprivileged patients with cataract were undertaken free-of-charge surgery. Of the total, 111 patients are from Ham Thuan Nam district and other 200 patients are from Phan Thiet city.

Earlier in March, April and May, the delegation also hosted the same charity program in Lam Dong, Long An and An Giang provinces.

The program “Bringing light to poor patients 2018” was carried out from the financial support of VND 400 million from the “For a better life” Fund, with an aim of improving the community’s life and reducing proportion of blinds and lowering burden for the health sector.

This is the 10 consecutive years the company supported for the program, raising the total amount of cost to VND 3.5 billion and recovering vision for more than 5,000 disadvantaged patients.
