BTO-About 20 youth lately made a voluntary trip to Hon Cau Marine Protected Area (MPA), where they cleaned up and collected trash on the beach of Hon Cau MPA.

This activity belongs to the voluntary program “Volunteers join hands to preserve marine turtles at Hon Cau MPA”, which is launched  by the managing board of Hon Cau MPA in partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

During this 7-day trip, volunteers joined in many activities of the unit’s patrol team, such as: collecting garbage on the beach, guarding sea turtles while they lay their eggs, helping hatch the eggs, and preparing the spawning ground.

The program consists of 4 phrases (from June 9 to July 27). Each phrase is carried out by 10 volunteers from many provinces.
