Storm Damrey causes flood in the south central province of Phu Yen |
Representatives of the UNDP met
with the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee on January 4 in order to discuss the
implementation of the project.
Each house will be built at a cost of nearly VND 50 million
(US$2,200).
Beneficiaries include impoverished households and those whose
houses were destroyed by the storm.
In Khanh Hoa, the provincial Red Cross Society will build
roughly 100 houses for flood victims in the four hardest-hit districts of Van
Ninh, Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh and Cam Lam.
The locality will step up their efforts to construct 50
houses before the Lunar New Year, according to Vice Chairman of the provincial
People’s Committee Nguyen Dac Tai.
