Accordingly, the Department of Transport has worked with the People’s committee of Phan Thiet city and functional bodies to inspect the flooded sections for timely remedy. As a result, the section from Hoa Vien restaurant to Hoang Ngoc restaurant has 10 horizontal sewers, which help drain water away to the sea. The 10 sewers go through the land owned by 10 businesses in the locality. Of which, 5 locations are often found flooded because they were obstructed or narrowed down by the land owners, inundating the street when heavy rains come.
Facing the difficulties, the Department of Transport has teamed up with relevant bodies to repair the downgraded sections and clean up the sewers. As of November 14th, the inundated sections of Nguyen Dinh Chieu have been basically repaired. However, the road section in front of Bao Quynh resort is still under construction.
A team grouped by the department of Transport, department of Natural Resource and environment, the Binh Thuan Water Supply and Sewerage JSC and Binh Thuan Tourism Association will be formed to survey and make good for the damaged section of Nguyen Dinh Chieu street. The in-charge bodies must report the final findings to the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan before December 12th 2017.
