A bulldozer, a scooter and trucks were gathered to the site for cleaning the landfill as many types of rubbishes have been buried under may layers of sand for a long time ago.

The clean-up campaign came after a press reflected the real situation of trash overwhelming the tourist area of Ham Tien, making tourists afraid of swimming in the nearby sea. The local authorities has rapidly held a meeting to discuss and seek for solutions.

According to the resident in quarter 2 – Ham Tien, the trash everywhere often drifts and is stranded to the site every June and July, causing a very dirty place.
