Ambassador of Belgium appraised the effectiveness of Belgium-funded projects in Tuy Phong district

BTO – Within the framework of 3-day visit in Binh Thuan (from July 5-7), the delegation of Ambassador of Belgium to Vietnam arrived in Tuy Phong on July 6th afternoon to review the project of improving environmental and hygienic conditions for Lien Huong and Phan Ri Cua towns.

The leader of Tuy Phong district has reported the project result to Mrs. Jehanne Roccas and participants following the project’s objectives of improving the living standards of the two town’s residents, environmental protection, water drainage, waste matter treatment and so on.

The project was first registered in 2004 and implemented on September 15th 2016 with a total capital of EUR 4,493,000. The project has brought many benefits to the 75,000 beneficiaries in the two districts, contributing to environmental protection and socioeconomic development of Tuy Phong district.

Mrs Jehanne Roccas, the Ambassador of Belgium in Vietnam highly appreciated the effectiveness of projects, raising the locals’ awareness of environmental protection. After the working session, the delegation did sightseeing some works and met the direct beneficiaries in the project areas.
