Charitable groups visited and presented gifts to the poor in Tuy Phong district

BTO- The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch of the provincial People’s Council in co-ordination with charitable groups “Noi Vong Tay Lon” (Ho Chi Minh city) and “Funny Saturday” (Phan Thiet City) on August 13 made a charity trip to give gifts to poor students in Phong Phu commune, one of the poorest localities in Tuy Phong district.

 During the trip, philanthropists offered 10 new bicycles to 10 secondary students, 150 presents (including school bags, books, notebooks, pens…, and VND 120,000 for school uniforms) to primary students. At the same time, 50 packs of rice and more than 600 second-hand clothes were donated in support of the poor in the locality. Charitable groups’ members also gave free-of-charge hair-cuts, dietary supplements and medicated oil to local residents.
