Grant crape myrtles “steal sightseers’ hearts” in Hong Liem

According to Vo Van Ban, an owner of the nicest grant crape-myrtles in Hong Liem, he uprooted the trees from the nearby forest 10 years ago since the tree was as tall as a man. It is now growing and its canopies spread roundly with blooming flowers covering from the bottom to the top. The purple interwoven with white color of the flowers’ petals actually trap people’s feet.

The trees’s flowers bloom in every July, but the flowers are really beautiful and appealing this year, said Ban. Many people asked him to buy the tree, but he refused.

Everyday, dozens of passing-by cars stopped and shot photos under the total of 5 blooming grant crape-myrtle trees in Ban’s neighborhood.
