Delegation of “Red Journey 2016 – Connecting the Vietnamese bloodline” arrived in Binh Thuan

BTO- On a whistle-stop tour to 27 cities and provinces across Vietnam, the delegation of “Red Journey 2016” led by Nguyen Van Nhu – head of the journey in the South and 70 volunteers arrived in Binh Thuan, and called at the Duc Thanh heritage site and Ho Chi Minh Museum – Binh Thuan branch in the same afternoon of July 12^th.

On the night of July 12^th, the “Red blood drop of the Coastal Region” program was held by the organizers of the Red Journey at Binh Thuan provincial Convention Center with the presence of the province’s party leader Nguyen Manh Hung; Pham Tuan Duong - deputy director of the Central Institute of Blood Transfusion and Hematology - cum– deputy head of the Red Journey; Representatives of the province’s bodies and members of the provincial Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign 2016.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung praised the best supports and facilitation of all most of party hierarchies, administrations, agencies across the province for the voluntary blood donation campaign. This should be spread widely to meet the demand for blood transfusion in hospitals across the province, so that many more patients in need of blood can be saved. Hung also called on the whole community to accompany and partake in the meaningful program.

This year, the Red Journey keeps on bringing 70 volunteers to the Trans-Viet journey held in 27 big cities and provinces nationwide. Binh Thuan, in its first time, responds to the journey. Following is detailed schedule that takes place in Binh Thuan within the framework of the journey: Visiting and paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Duc Thanh heritage site (Phan Thiet city) and organizing a gala night in praise of blood donors on July 12^th; holding the blood donation fiesta, called “red blood drop of the Coastal region” at Binh Thuan general hospital on July 13^th morning; mobilizing 300 volunteers plus to participate the blood donation campaign in target of receiving around 120 blood units right after the ceremony and propaganda parade across some main streets of Phan Thiet city.
