1,000 drought affected households in Binh Thuan get emergency aid from Vietnam Red Cross

BTO- Vietnam Red Cross Society has decided to give emergency relief to victims of severe drought and saltwater intrusion in 11 provinces across the country, including Binh Thuan.

Accordingly, each of 1,000 disaster-affected household in each province will get relief items worth VND 379,800 in total, including two 20 liter-bottles of drinking water, two 20 liter-plastic cans for containing water and 100 water purification tablets-Aquabas.

The provincial Red Cross Society of Binh Thuan province has decided to select 1,000 difficult households, including poor and near-poor households, families of preferential policy, people with disabilities and victims of agent orange in the heavily drought-hit communes of Son My, Tan Thang and Thang Hai (Ham Tan district) to get emergency aid above. The provincial Red Cross plans to deliver emergency relief items to the beneficiaries in April, 2016.
