Candlelight tribute for departed heroes on anniversary of Binh Thuan’s liberation

Vice chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam, secretary of Party Committee of Phan Thiet city Nguyen Thu Son, nearly 1,000 delegates of veteran and inhabitants of Hong Son and Hong Liem communes (Ham Thuan Bac district) together with more than 400 youth union members attended the ceremony. In the hallowed and solemn atmosphere, over 9,000 candles were lit up to commemorate the great gratitude of deceased heroes and martyrs.

BTO- On April 18th night, Binh Thuan province’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has officially organized a candlelight tribute ceremony at the provincial cemetery to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Binh Thuan’s Liberation (April 19th, 1975 – 2016)

At the ceremony, heroic and indomitable spirit of the homeland seemed to be revived through documentary footage. The victory of April 19th 1975 is the glorious chapter in history of the army and people of Binh Thuan.

Over the years, Binh Thuan youths have actively launched and taken part in multiple movements and campaign to pay debt of gratitude to relatives of departed martyrs and heroes and people who had contribution to the country. Those meaningful works are manifested in free-of-charge health check-ups, housing assistance and gift-giving…
