According to reports from the
Department of Health on August 16, in the past 24 hours, there were 106 Covid-19
patients were given the all-clear and came out of the hospital (94 people in La
Gi and 12 ones in Phan Thiet). Among patients under treatment, 25 ones being in
serious conditions.
In order to effectively constrain the spread of coronavirus in the community,
Phan Thiet city and La Gi town have extended the implementation of social
distancing measures under the PM’s Directive No.16 by another 7 days until
August 22. At the same time, the chairman of the provincial People’s Committee
asked the remaining localities to keep on implementing Directive No.15 and
intensify some urgent measures in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in
accordance with the provincial people’s Committee’s direction until further
notice.
