Vietnamese ships in Vietnam's territorial waters around Da Tay A Reef
in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago (Photo: VNA)The programme, an initiative of the Lao dong (Labour) newspaper, was launched on June 1, 2019, and has presented more than 400,000 national flags to fishermen in coastal areas, residents in border areas and border posts.
It plans to deliver 560,000 more flags to 28 coastal provinces and cities in the time ahead, with the aim of expressing solidarity and encouragement with fishermen and residents and soldiers in border areas in defending the country’s borderline.
