Binh Thuan to give covid-19 testing to health workers, hospital inpatients

BTO- The provincial department  of  Health has just promulgated a document to ask medical facilities across the province to collect specimens for Covid-19 testing in health care service providers and inpatients.

Accordingly, medical workers and inpatients in district-level hospitals and medical centers will have Covid-19 tested. In which, priority groups are high-risk people in Emergency-Intensive Care department, Cardiology department, Geriatry department, Hemodialysis department…

Binh Thuan CDC and Binh Thuan General Hospital are directed to take responsibility for receiving  test samples. Those units have finished preparation work for purchasing equpiment, storing chemicals and testing kits for Covid-19. The move is considered as one of methods to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in medical facilities under the guidelines of Ministry of Health., with the purpose of ensuring safety for health care workers and inpatients.

According to Doctor Le Van Hong-deputy Director of department of Health, medical facilities are in high risk of preading infectious diseases. Therefore, Covid-19 testings will help medical sector track the sources of infection then properly deploy roper measures to prevent the transmission among the community.
