The meeting also had the attendance of leaders of departments, branches, agencies localities, representatives of the plan’s partners and sponsors, as follows: Institute for Natural Resources and Environment (directly under the Vietnam National University of Ha Noi), Government portal, VTV Digital.
At the meeting, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong- Nova Group deputy general director introduced the project of planting as many as 10 millions of green trees in Binh Thuan and the neighboring provinces in period 2021-2025. The project, which aims to create a green space for Binh Thuan in the future, includes a launching ceremony, the establishment of a steering board and fund to accept financial aid…
Leaders of departments, agencies in Binh Thuan and Phan Thiet city’s People’s Committee highly appreciated planting tree project and gave support to the plan because of its practical meaning. Some suggested optional plan that focuses on planting trees in urban areas, coastal traffic routes, national highway… in order to disseminate the message to call the whole people join hands in planting more trees.
Speaking at the meeting, vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hoa welcomed Nova Group for its idea of planting trees in Binh Thuan. He asked department of Agriculture and Rural development to take responsibility for working with relevant agencies and localities to deploy the plan. In 2021 alone, Mr. Hoa suggested to give priority to Phan Thiet city, La Gi town and Tuy Phong district, especially on residential areas, community-based tourist attractions… At the same time, he asked functional units to implement the plan following the Government’s plan to plant one billion trees in accordance with the province’s planning and local demand.
