Phu Quy students celebrate “Book and Reading Culture Week”

 BTO- The Library of Ngo Quyen High School (Phu Quy island district) lately organized the “Book and Reading Culture Week” to respond to the 5th Vietnam Book Day on April 21.

The week-long event, which is scheduled to run from April 20-27, offers a series of meaningful activities in honor of reading culture among the young generations, such as: artistic book arrangement, book display and introduction, ect. Remarkably, numerous students had the best chance to see old maps featuring national sovereignty over sea and islands. Many newly-published books, as follows: “Ke chuyen Bac Ho” (Stories about Uncle Ho)- 5 volumes (Vietnam Education Publishing House), “Nam Bo Dat va Nguoi” (The Land and the People in the South of Vietnam)- 10 volumes published by National Political Publishing House of Vietnam…

The event, which is the first version held in Ngo Quyen high school with the purpose of honoring books’ values, promoting reading culture and developing movement of reading in schools.
