The picture, taken by photographer Tran Tuan Viet, is among the best 50 photos selected from 19,118 entries. It receives a USD 1,000 prize after gaining the most votes from Agora’s users around the world. The contest was launched on March 6 following the key words “What is meaning of fun for you?”.
According to photographer Tran Tuan Viet, everyday, many local children come to the sand dunes of Muine to earn livelihood by offering visitors sand slides for hire. Those children work very hard and they also find their joy with doing the most simple things, including rolling the old tyres on the sand hills. Viet said he would donate all money of this prize to the Vietnam’s fund for Covid-19 prevention and control. Apart from his photo, other images of natural landscapes in Vietnam captured by Vietnamese and international photographers have been choosen to the final round.
