Naval Brigade 681 of Naval Region brings water to drought victims in Tan Phuc-Ham Tan

BTO- From May 9-14th, Naval Brigade 681of Naval Region 2 sent two fire-trucks to bring 40 cubic meters of water each day to serve for daily life of 580 households in hamlets 4 and 5, Tan Phuc commune, Ham Tan district. Each day, the unit’s troops transported water from pump station of La Gi waterwork (60 kilometers far from the residential areas) and filled in 4 water tanks for the locals to get for daily use.

At the same time, leaders of Naval Brigade 681 visited and presented gifts to 5 policy-favored families and poor households in hamlet 5, Tan Phuc commune. Last month, the unit also brought clean water to hundreds of households in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district during 10 day in the effort to ease the difficulties in drought-hit localities, proving the quote “the people are like water and the army is like fish”.
