The working trip is to collect Han-Nom writings (Chinese-transcript language) dated from the 17th to 19th century and other cultural and historical artifacts of Phu Quy, shared Associate Professor. Dr. Do Bang – Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Science and History Association. The delegation also surveyed and touched the real witnesses, heritages and specimen from the Champa period to the 19th century.
The association paid much regards on the process of establishing villages, organizing society, administration, economic situation on Phu Quy island in the 17th-18th century and the cause of national defense and sovereignty protection against its sea and island.
This time’s reference and survey findings will elevate the material bank of Vietnam’s seas and islands in the 17-18th century to feed the demand for composing the 11th episode of Dang Trong (in the 1558-1771) belonging to the Vietnam History Collection.
