Five most prominent culture and tourism events of Binh Thuan in 2015

- Special programs to mark 40 anniversary of Binh Thuan liberation day (April 19^th 1975 – April 19^th 2015), which included many meaningful culture-sports and tourism events, attracted the great attention of leaders, locals and visitors province-wide. The exhibition on socioeconomic achievements over the past 40 years of construction and development, the largest of its size to date, displayed and highlighted the province’s most outstanding achievements in terms of social order and security, national defense, politics, education, culture, tourism, sports, economy, and society in different historical stages. The event had brought together 162 stands from departments, agencies, associations and enterprises. Additionally, a low-range firework display also took place on the night of April 18^th at Le Hong Phong bridge for thousands of locals and visitors to behold.

- The two-day- international conference on tourism linkage between Vietnam – Laos and Cambodia was opened in the coastal city of Phan Thiet from 11/12 September 2015. The event gathered more than 300 delegates domestically and internationally. Besides the conference, an exhibition to display the most prominent tourism destinations and products of the three countries were also included within the framework of the first-of-its-kinds event. The event highlighted a great breakthrough of Binh Thuan tourism in the process of integration and development forwards.

- The 6^thsoutheast regional Family Fest Day 2015, which took place in the coastal city of Phan Thiet from June 24 to 26, 2016, had brought together 21 families from the southeast provinces of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ninh Thuan. All family participants competed in the categories of sports, cooking, aptitude and talent competition.

- Exhibition on propaganda posters and pictures to greet the 12^th National Party congress and the 13^th Party Congress of Binh Thuan Party Committee was co-held by the Ministry of Culture-Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province on October 9^th. The event had 88 big-size propaganda posters, including 70 posters were selected from 730 entries of 250 artists, professional and amateur painters nationwide.

- A solemn ceremony to mark 20 anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day which was held on the night of October 24^th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, honored 52 collectives and 30 individuals who had outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of Binh Thuan over the past 20 years. Particularly, 9 persons had the honor to receive the campaign medals for tourism development of the Ministry of Culture-Sports and Tourism at the ceremony. Alongside with the main ceremony, a series of activities such as: open singing festival, exhibition on Vietnam heritage photo awards, “don ca tai tu” performance, displaying of sea-sport apparatus and equipment, tennis tournament, etc were organized in October to mark the local Tourism Day (24/10/1995-2015).
