The tournament, which took place in
Dong Lake (Da Nang city), was co-organized by Dang City’s Department of Culture
and Sports and Vietnam Canoeing, Rowing & Sailing Federation. Binh Thuan racers
competed in canoeing and kayaking events, single boat race, double-player boat
race, and four-player boat race in three distances, including 200 meters, 500
meters, and 1,000 meters.
After a week-long competition, athletes from Binh Thuan won 4 medals of all
kinds, including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
The leading racers at this tournament will be selected for the national team to
compete in the upcoming international sports events, including the 31st
Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), which is scheduled to be held in Vietnam
later this year.
