Accordingly, the plan focuses on supporting rice paper production villages in Phu Long townlet (Ham Thuan Bac district) and Cho Lau townlet (Bac Binh district), Dong Ha bamboo and rattan handicraft village (Duc Linh district), and Binh Duc pottery village (Bac Binh district). The plan is expected to create connection among trade villages, connections between trade villages with industrial clusters, industrial and and handicraft clusters, enterprises to reinforce links between production and processing with consumption. At the same time, other traditional trade villages will be restored and developed in order to diversify local products, contributing to boost tourism, socioeconomic development. In addition, the combination of tradition and modernity will be encouraged to preserve traditional trade while meeting customers’ demand.
Currently, only 4 aforesaid trade villages are operating stably in Binh Thuan, and their output products have circulated in market, meeting demand of customers insides and outside the province, creating stable jobs and incomes for local labours.
Specifically, the Tan Phuc sugar cane production village (Ham Tan district) has suspended its operation since last year. Functional agencies are working to implement dissolution in accordance with the law.
