Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa, heads of departments, agencies, sectors, unions attended the ceremnony along with over 1,700 students.
The festival is scheduled to take place from April 3-7 with the participation of 1,726 students athletes from primary, secondary and high schools competing in 10 sports events, including badminton, table tennis, athletics, chess, vovinam, Vietnamese traditional martial arts, swimming, volleyball, football and pole push. This year’s event has attracted the highest number of athletes of all years.
Speaking at te ceremony, Mr Phan Doan Thai-Director of the provincial department of Education &Training stressed that physical education in schools has played an important role to create a new generation with a comprehensive development in mentality, rorality and health.
