Binh Thuan launched the 2020 Stop and Marathon Race to promote its tourism image

BTO – As many as 180 Marathon runners from many provinces and cities across the country have flocked to Binh Thuan province to compete in the 2020 Binh Thuan Stop And Run Marathon Race. The sporting event took place on Vietnam’s nicest sea road of Hoa Thang – Hoa Phu, making it convenient for the organization and participation more and more attractive.

The running race is not only a sporting event, but it also brings the message of safe tourism to the people while encouraging them to do exercise frequently. For such purpose, 2020 Binh Thuan Stop And Run Marathon Race, the first of its kind, is held on the road of Hoa Thang – Hoa Phu, adjacent to Bau Trang national landscape.

The race consists of 2 distances including 10 km and 21 km, luring professional and amateur athletes from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Can Tho, Dak Nong, Hai Phong, Dong Thap provinces. Athlete participants from Binh Thuan province accounted for 20 percent of the total runners.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions, all athletes were exciting and finished their distances. With the message “Free to explore your own limits”, the race expected to promote the running movement in Vietnam in general and in Binh Thuan in particular, developing a positive and healthy attitude toward life, cherishing their health.

Such tournament also opened up opportunities to promote the local tourism image with wild nature and various potentialities of the Bau Trang national landscape, contributing to improving the quality of tourism service and stimulus.

Concluding the race distances, the organizing board awarded winning prizes to men and women athletes. Reportedly, this is a start-up activity for the official event held on March 5-7th, 2021.
