National Highway 28B, which connects Binh Thuan with Lam Dong, has a total length of 69 km, starting from Luong Son T-junction (Bac Binh district-Binh Thuan province), intersecting with National Highway 1A to Ta Hine T-Junction (Ninh Gia commune-Duc Trong district-Lam Dong province), intersecting with National highway 20. This is an essential traffic route that helps boost socioeconomic development as well as reinforce national defence and security in the region. It also contributes to shorten travel time for people and facilitate transport of goods.
After a long time of exploitation, the road has been seriously degraded, causing difficulties in travelling and transporting, as well as posing potential unsafety for vehicles.
National Highway 28 connects Binh Thuan with two central highland provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Nong with a total length of 192 km. This route is narrow (5.5-7m). Voters in the localities have repeatedly raised their concerns and petitioned for investment in upgrading the roads. For that reason, National Assmebly deputies’ delegations of the three provinces made a fact-finding trip to complete assessment about difficulties and insufficience along national highway 28 and 28B. Therefore, they unanimously submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister, leaders of ministries, central departments to seek for investment in national highway 28 and 28B with medium-term investment capital (period 2021-2026) as the expectation of people in those localities.
