This first Chess competition is co-held by Vietnam Chess Federation and Khanh Hoa department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of nearly 200 senior chess players from 10 localities in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces. The competition took place from May 25th to May 27th, which covers a number of categories for groups of ages from six to fifteen. The total medals granted at the closing ceremony are 96 medals.
