Binh Thuan bagged 6 bronze medals at the National Taekwondo Club Championships 2017

BTO- Binh Thuan taekwondo team pocketed 6 bronze medals at the National Taekwondo Club Championship 2017, which took place in PhanThiet-Binh Thuan from September 25 to October 2, 2017.

The tournament attracted as many as 500 athletes (both male and female, aged over 15) from 45 clubs nationwide, competing in two categories: poomsae and sparring. Particularly, in sparring content, male athletes contributed 5 bronze medals and ranked 19 while female squad earned one and placed 23 among 45 teams.

The event provided localities chances to review the qualification of athletes and current develoment situation.

Hanoi topped the game after winning the most medals (both in male and female contents) while the second places went to male athletes from the teams of People’s Police, Binh Phuoc 1 and Binh Duong. Female squads of Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue won the second spots in sparrings. 

Basing on this tournament’s results, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation will add potential athletes with high performance to the young national taekwondo team in preparation for SEA Games 2019 and Olympic 2020.
