Binh Thuan- an attractive destination for Tet holiday

BTO-During the 9-day-long Lunar New Year holiday (from February 2-10), as many as 105.500 people visited Binh Thuan to celebrate the traditional Tet festival, a year-on-year increase of 22%.

Particularly, about 360,000 international holiday-makers (mainly from Russia, Germany, China…)  chose Binh Thuan for their vacation, accounting for 34.5% of the total number and raising by 26.8% compared with that of last year. At the same time, the number of domestic visitors coming to Binh Thuan during Tet days reached 69,100 turns, up 20% compared to last year’s festival.

Room occupancy levels gained 70%-80% in 2-star ranking hotels, resorts and guesthouses, 80%-88% in 3-5 star hotels and resorts. Especially, numerous tourists flocked to Ham Tien-Mui Ne area to enjoy Tet celebrations held in resorts with many events featuring a traditional Tet of Vietnamese people. Number of tourists check-in in other popular destinations as Hon Rom, Long Son-Suoi Nuoc, Tien Thanh, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi has also increased in days between February 7-9.

The general quality of tourism products and services in Binh Thuan have been maintained to ensure a safe and happy Tet for all visitors. Local residents and tourists were enjoyable with fireworks displays in Phan Thiet city and other locations on New Year’s Eve , cultural and arts performance welcoming the Lunar New Year at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, as well as a series of sporting events.

Local governments have paid special attention to management of social order, security, sanitation, food hygiene & safety, and prices of products, services.
