The fish, sized 3 meters long, 20 centimeters wide and weighed 10 kilograms, was still alive at the time it was washed ashore. Although the local fishers tried to take the poor fish to the sea, the fish could not recover and died haft an hour later. Such big ribbon fish is rare, so the fishermen called it “Hố Ông” (a way to respect the fish following the local custom). After the detection, the locals held burial for the carcass.
