The old wall is decorated into an attractive and bright fresco |
Entitled “the Color of the Sea”, the painting program, co-held by the Tan Binh district Youth union and Eco Lagi Group, aims to raise people’s awareness of the importance of the environment.
This wall belongs to Tan Binh primary school, situated on a road reading to Doi Duong beach where great number of vehicles passes by. Thanks to favorable position, the fresco can be contemplated by many onlookers, transferring the message of “Stop litter, reduce the use of single-use plastic products”.
All the paintings are chosen from 44 prize-winning works at the “2018Painting for the future environment” contest offered by the Environment and Vietnamese Urban Magazine.
After 3 days of operation, an old wall is turned into a colorful fresco carrying meaningful messages. The locals will no longer see litter, advertisements on the wall any more. To join hands to protect the environment, the La Gi town administration has also taken part in this practical action which calling upon the community to change their habits of using single-use plastic products.
Those practical actions help improve the local environment, becoming an eco-friendly and civilized town now and then.
