As reported, the embankment along the beach in quarter 5-Duc Long ward is the place where local fishermen often anchor their boats after sea journeys. At the end of fishing season every year, this area is seriously polluted by the dominance of many kinds of garbage, especially discharged foam food containers, plastic bags, straws, bottles…
On that campaign, tens of young people voluntarily removed mass of trash on a 3-kilometer-long beach in the quarter 5. They also used coracle to pick up waste floating on the water. This is considered as a meaningful and useful activity that contributed to the whole society’s effort to preserve marine environment and raise residents’ awareness of keeping clean living environment by not throwing rubbish into the ocean.
