VND 8,000 bln invested for Phan Thiet-Vinh Hao expressway

BTO – Directorate for Roads of Vietnam (DRVN) yesterday said that it had submitted to the Ministry of Transport the project on adjustment of the development plan of Vietnam expressway network, sectioned from Vinh Hao to Phan Thiet, for consideration. Accordingly, the project’s routes basically follow the approved plan, however there are some changes related to topography, technical infrastructure, local planning due to the time change.

Up to now, the design consultation has been completed for considering its feasibility. After approval, the project management unit 7 will carry out the next steps for bidding and selecting investors. The section of Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet is included in the Eastern axes of the North-South expressway, period 2017-2020.The project will pass by two districts of Tuy phong and Ham Thuan Nam districts with a total length of 101 km and a total investment of over VND 8,000 billion, including site clearance and construction.
