The 8 projects include expressways connecting Mai Son with National Highway No 45, the National Highway No 45 with Nghi Son, Nghi Son with Dien Chau and Dien Chau with Bai Vot, as well as Nha Trang with Cam Lam, Cam Lam with Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao with Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet with Dau Giay. The project has a total length of 530km with a tentative investment of VND104,079 billion.
The Phan Thiet-Dau Giay (98km) project has the highest provisional investment of VND 19,571 billion, of which VND 5,551 billion is allocated from the State budget, while the project of Nha Trang-Cat Lam (29km) has the lowest tentative investment of VND 5,131 billion, with VND 2,532 billion funded by the Government.
According to the MoT, the eight projects aim to meet the urgent demand of logistics, gradually form the Eastern North-South expressway, connect economic and political centers and economic and industrial zones, as well as accelerate socio-economic development and ensure the country’s defense and security.
8 projects’ feasibility is being researched and expected to finish all construction work by 2021.
