President Tran Dai Quang visits veterans care centre in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

President Tran Dai Quang paid a visit to the Long Dat care centre for wounded soldiers and national contributors in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on the afternoon of July 19 to mark the occasion of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.

The Long Dat centre is currently providing daily nursing services to 58 veterans as well as seasonal care to 3,000 national contributors from southern provinces and cities each year.

At the centre, President Quang expressed his gratitude to the veterans for their sacrifices in the struggle for national independence while affirming that the Party, State and people always remember their services, which has been manifested in specific policies.

The State leader expressed his pleasure at the efforts of the Long Dat centre to realise the Party and State’s policies on providing care and support for national contributors and wounded soldiers.

He also praised Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to deliver increasingly better healthcare services to wounded soldiers and national contributors.

Earlier in the morning, President Quang attended a national conference in Ba Ria-Vung Tau to honour those who have rendered great service to the nation.
